Child Protection Teacher Training Workshop

Our school invited Ms. Dai from the Shatin Team (ST4) of The Church of United Brethren in Christ Social Service to conduct training for our teachers. The session provided an in-depth study of the mandatory reporting mechanism, equipping teachers with skills to identify and intervene in potential child abuse cases at an early stage, thereby preventing further harm. It also clarified teachers’ legal responsibilities and obligations. Through professional guidance, teachers have enhanced their judgment and confidence, weaving a stronger protective network for children and ensuring every child can grow up healthily in a safe environment.

Teacher Training on Safeguarding National Security Law and Procedures for Handling Suspected Child Abuse

Our school invited Mr.So, a lawyer from the Hong Kong Mediation and Arbitration Centre, to deliver a legal lecture on the National Security Law and child abuse. Mr. So explained the importance of the National Security Law in a humorous and clear manner, and shared cases of child abuse, thereby raising teachers’ awareness and fostering their commitment to protecting children.

Physical Fitness Training

Our school invited coaches from the Physical Fitness Association of Hong Kong ,China to conduct training for our teachers. This training covered the design of lesson plans and the optimization of curriculum for children's physical fitness, aiming to enhance teachers' instructional skills and professional knowledge. The teachers learned how to more effectively guide children in physical activities, promote their physical and mental development.

Physical Fitness Teacher Training Workshop

Our school invited Dr. Cheung from The Education University of Hong Kong to provide early childhood physical fitness training for our teachers. The training focused on optimizing physical education curriculum design, introducing a spiral teaching approach that enables children to progressively master physical skills step by step.

Orff Schulwerk Music Training

Our school participated in the Orff Music Teacher Training Program organized by the Hong Kong Orff Schulwerk Association. Through a 36-hour workshop, teachers gained a deep understanding of the essence and application of the Orff teaching philosophy and instructional techniques. This included various movement-oriented teaching methods, rhythm instruction through language, engaging and accessible music notation teaching, effective singing instruction techniques, how to use body percussion to accompany songs, and multi-sensory music appreciation activities. The training significantly enhanced the teachers’ professional capabilities in music education.

Music Therapy Teacher Training

Our school invited a registered music therapist from the Methodist Kwun Tong Social Service to provide training for our teachers. The session introduced the fundamental concepts and background of music therapy, and through experiential activities, deepened teachers' understanding of how music therapy can be tailored to meet the needs of diverse individuals.

"Theatre in Education Deep Cultivation Programme"

Our school participated in the "Theatre in Education Deep Cultivation Programme" jointly organized by the Hong Kong Repertory Theatre and The Education University of Hong Kong. Professional instructors visited our school to provide dozens of hours of drama education lectures and workshops for all teaching staff. The training team will continue to work on-site with teachers through lesson preparation, classroom observations, and review meetings, enabling educators to enhance their drama teaching techniques through hands-on practice and further strengthen the application of drama conventions.

Enneagram Personality Workshop

Our school invited a registered social worker from the Methodist Kwun Tong Social Service to introduce the Enneagram to our staff.
